TOPSoccer to Kickoff 2012 Season with Jamboree; TOPSoccer Coaching and Admin Training

TOPSoccer players, coaches and buddies — kickoff the 2012 season in style with the first-ever TOPSoccer Kickoff Jamboree, Sept. 9 at Starfire Sports!

The jamboree — which is free to all TOPSoccer players, parents, buddies and coaches — will be held from 2-5 p.m. on Sun., Sept. 9. In addition to reconnecting with old friends and making new ones, participants will have the chance to interact with a surprise guest speaker, play fun soccer-based games and activities and join a TOPSoccer match on the prestigious Starfire Stadium Field! What’s more, all players who participate will receive medals!

TOPSoccer — The Outreach Program for Soccer — is a program for players 4 years of age and older who have developmental and/or physical disabilities. The program is based on skill level, not age, and participants include players, coaches and buddies – volunteers who are paired with each player to assist with the game.

TOPSoccer creates an opportunity for kids with disabilities to be part of the soccer community, where they grow emotionally and physically and where their families, coaches and buddies connect to share in the joy of playing soccer.

Over 400 athletes participated in TOPSoccer in 2011, a number that grew to 600 in 2012.

Admission to the jamboree is free, but players and buddies are encouraged to register online by following this link.
