The calendar has turned from March to April — and the season officially from winter to spring — which means it's time to get registered for fall soccer!

It may be hard to believe, with two months still remaining in the spring season, but April is indeed the month when most Washington Youth Soccer Clubs and Associations collect registrations for the coming year.

So what do you need to know?

First, be sure to visit the websites of Clubs in your area to determine their specific registration deadlines. Every club sets their own deadline, with their own specific rules — some require tryouts, or specific forms/paperwork that you'll need to complete, so it's important to make sure that you know the specific requirements of the Club you're interested in as you get started.

The Club Directory at can be a helpful resource for locating a Washington Youth Soccer Club or Association in your area, quickly and easily comparing Clubs and Associations, or finding the website to the Club of your choice. You can click on the interactive map to find a Club or Association near you, search by your zip code, or find a complete list of Washington Youth Soccer Clubs and Associations with direct links to each Club's website.

And don't forget the most important step — when you've finished registering, share your Club or Association's registration info with your friends and family, Facebook friends and Twitter followers! Help remind fellow soccer families and share the story of what a significant impact soccer can have with families who haven't yet tried the sport. After all, the only thing better than playing soccer, is playing soccer with your friends!
