August is Youth Soccer Month, and Washington Youth Soccer is celebrating with clinics, features and fun activities for players of all ages and abilities — all leading up to the annual Wild Waves Kick-Off Bash on August 28!

In a new twist for 2011, each week of Youth Soccer Month will focus on a specific theme designed around the three pillars of the Washington Youth Soccer mission — ostering the physical, emotional and mental development of our players. In addition to publishing features and articles related to developing your game, Washington Youth Soccer will present interactive and instructional videos and highlight clubs and teams from across the state that are doing their part to promote the game.

In addition, there will be soccer-related games, contests and raffles on Facebook and Twitter.

It all kicks off July 29-31 with the Seattle Sounders Women hosting the USL W-League Semi-finals and Finals at Starfire Sports, where soccer fans can watch top national and international players give their all for the longest-running trophy in professional women's soccer.

See below for an outline of events throughout the month, then bookmark this link to stay on top of all the action as it happens! And to be the first to know about new events, contests and giveaways, follow our Youth Soccer Month Blog!
