Washington Youth Soccer, North Star Fine Coffees Perk Up Local Teams With Exciting New Fundraiser!

Washington Youth Soccer has teamed up with Seattle's premier luxury coffee wholesaler and retailer, North Star Fine Coffees, to create a fun, easy fundraiser for teams and clubs looking to earn extra dollars this fall.

First, the benefits: Washington Youth Soccer teams will receive two dollars for every package of North Star Fine Coffee that they sell, with an additional 90 cents per package being given by North Star Fine Coffees to support Washington Youth Soccer's Elite Player Development, a program that identifies and develops youth players to play at the State, Regional, National and Olympic elite levels. In addition, players and their families will be eligible to earn outstanding individual prizes, with sales tracked online automatically.

It couldn't be easier! Here's how it works:

  1. Starting September 14, team managers or other parent volunteer can go to and fill out the short registration form.
  2. The team coordinator will be provided with sample emails to send to the team parents with information about the program and a sample letter to send out to their friends and families to encourage them to purchase the coffee and support youth soccer.
  3. Players (or their parents) also register online so they can earn special gifts. Players and families promote the program through emails, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media sites.
  4. Individuals order coffee directly from North Star Fine Coffees using the web link provided to them by the player. North Star then processes the orders and ships the coffees directly to the buyer. You don't have to collect forms, chase down payments or coordinate the distribution of anything!
  5. 5. North Star Fine Coffees tracks the orders made on behalf of individual players and teams. North Star also sends you reports to let you know how the team is doing ... and how close you are to earning great prizes.

In addition to raising money for their teams, players will be eligible to win prizes for their individual efforts, while teams will compete for a number of fabulous team prizes, including once-in-a-lifetime opportunities with Sounders FC!

Team coordinators and coaches will also have the chance to earn prizes, with all those with at least 50 percent participation from their teams ("participation" defined as one order per player by Sept. 30) being entered into a drawing to win a special North Star Fine Coffees prize package.
