Washington Youth Soccer's computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest.
2. Eligibility
Contest is open to all Washington Youth Soccer players registered with one of our clubs and associations. Contestants must have permission from their parent/guardian. Employees, officers and directors of Washington Youth Soccer as well as members of the immediate families (spouses, parents, siblings and children, and each of their respective spouse, regardless of where they reside) or households (whether related or not) of any of the above are NOT eligible to participate. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void outside Washington and where prohibited. Entrants are responsible for complying with these Official Rules.
3. How to Enter
To enter, visit www.wsysa.com and follow the links and instructions to print the coin template form. Draw your coin design on the template form, have your parent/guardian sign the form and mail to Washington Youth Soccer, ATTN: Design Our Tournament Flipping Coin 500 S. 336th St. Suite 100 Federal Way, WA 98003.
No entrant may submit more than one (1) entry per entry period. If an entrant exceeds any of these limits, all of that entrant's entries will be disqualified. No entries will be acknowledged or returned. By entering a design in this Contest, Entrant grants a nonexclusive, transferable, royalty-free, worldwide license to Washington Youth Soccer to edit, adapt and publish such design in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest, and Washington Youth Soccer may use the design in connection with the Contest and promotion of the Contest for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes in commerce and in any and all media now known or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without attribution, compensation, permission or further notification to the entrant, his/her successors or assigns, or any other entity, unless prohibited by law. Washington Youth Soccer is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, damaged, misdirected, or blurred or otherwise indiscernible designs, which shall be disqualified.
Design Requirements:
Each entry must comply with the following requirements (the "Design Requirements"):
The entries will be judged in accordance with the Judging Criteria, as defined below. All entries must be submitted and postmarked by October 29, 2009, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt.
4. Contest Prizes
The winning Design will become the official tournament flipping coin of Washington Youth Soccer for the 2010 tournament season and will be produced by Northwest Trophy for use in Washington Youth Soccer State Cup Tournaments. The winning designer will receive ten (10) coins in their design.
5. Winner Determination
(a) Judging Phase: During the Judging Phase, Washington Youth Soccer Staff will select the top-5 entrants based on the following criteria ("Judging Criteria"):
Each Finalist will be notified by phone the week of November 11, 2009, and each will be deemed a Finalist. Finalists will be required to respond to the phone call within 48 hours to confirm they have received notification. If confirmation is not received by Washington Youth Soccer within 48 hours, an alternate Finalist will be chosen. The alternate Finalist will also be required to respond within 48 hours.
(b) Voting Phase: During the Voting Phase, the 5 Finalist entries will be posted at www.wsysa.com from November 11-November 20, 2009. The Public will be invited to vote for their favorite design. The Finalist entry that receives the highest number of valid votes during the Voting Phase, as determined by Washington Youth Soccer, will be the winning design. The winning design will be announced in the December issue of E-PlayOn!. Washington Youth Soccer is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected votes, which will be disqualified.
In case of a tie, Washington Youth Soccer, in its sole discretion, will select the l winner from the tied Entries based on the Judges' analysis of the entries using the Judging Criteria.
6. Right to Cancel or Suspend Contest
If for any reason the Contest is not capable of running as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, trojan horses, denial of service attacks, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of Washington Youth Soccer that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, Washington Youth Soccer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest. In such event, no prizes will be awarded.
7. Winners List
Winner's name will be available online at www.wsysa.com after December 14, 2009, following announcement and verification of winner.
8. Data Privacy
By entering, entrants agree that personal data, including without limitation name and address, may be processed, shared, and otherwise used for the purposes and within the context of the Contest and any other purposes outlined in these Official Rules. The data may also be used by Washington Youth Soccer in order to verify the participant's identity, postal address, and telephone number or to otherwise verify the participant's eligibility to participate in the Contest. Participants have the right to access, review, rectify, or cancel any personal data held by Washington Youth Soccer by writing to Washington Youth Soccer, Attn: Tournament Flipping Coin Design Contest, 500 S. 336th St. Suite 100 Federal Way, WA 98003. Personal data will be used by Washington Youth Soccer and its affiliates exclusively for the purposes stated herein.
