Spring is finally here! With great weather comes great news to share with you, our members. First, we will be launching our “Soccer in the Schools” Initiative, which focuses on bringing the sport of soccer and an active lifestyle to elementary school children around the state. The second is that we are close to hiring an Executive Director who will continue to help lead us through our Constitutional Convention and organizational restructure.

TOPSoccer Coaches Summit!

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sat., June 6, Washington Youth Soccer will host a TOPSoccer Coaches Summit at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila. This is your chance to become involved in a unique program and learn how to work with specially abled kids of all ages. For only $25, you will have a chance to learn coaching techniques both in the classroom and on the field. Whether you are a novice coach or one with years of experience, we encourage you to find time to make a difference in the lives of these amazing athletes.

Tri-Cities to Host the
2009 Region IV Presidents Cup

From June 11-14, top U13-U17 boys and girls teams from around the Region, including Washington, will converge on the Tri-Cities for a chance to play in one of US Youth Soccer’s newest elite tournaments. The unique structure of this Cup allows smaller states to send teams who placed second in their State Cup a chance to continue their season by competing against top-tier teams from larger states. Winners of this Regional Cup will earn a spot at the Presidents Cup National Championships from July 15-19 in North Carolina! Click here to find out which Washington teams will be competing.
