This Month In Coaching Education
Educational Instructors and Directors of Coaching from throughout the country came together at the US Soccer National Staff Instructors Workshop in Florida in December and the US Youth Soccer Technical Directors meetings in Philadelphia in January to lay out goals for improving the knowledge and ability of the approximately 300,000 youth soccer coaches in the United States. Washington Youth Soccer Director of Coaching Education Shannon Murray and Technical Director Timo Liekoski attended both meetings and over the next few months, these goals and strategies will be incorporated into Washington Youth Soccer’s Coaching Education Calendar, with courses and licenses coming to a field near you. Read more about our plans in the year ahead, and see below for a practice plan you can print out and take to the field with you.
