Catching Up with TOPSoccer

It has been a busy spring and summer for the TOPSoccer committee: Alice Russell, Tami Sandygren, Scott Sandygren, Tom Tate, Kim Calkins and Marty Torres. The TOPSoccer Committee is also pleased to welcome its newest member, Monaca Duff, from Spokane TOPSoccer. This has been an exciting year for TOPSoccer. Here are the highlights:

TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year

Nick Ulowetz from Snohomish TOPSoccer, Derek Williamson from Camas/Washougal TOPSoccer and Kiley Adams from Tacoma TOPSoccer were nominated for TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year. Congratulations to Kiley on being selected as the winner! She will now represent Washington in hopes of becoming the Region IV TOPSoccer Buddy of the Year.

TOPSoccer Summit

The TOPSoccer Summit, held in June at Starfire Sports, was an enormous success! Fifteen coaches and administrators were certified in an informative day of networking, education and coach and player field sessions. The dedication of these volunteers has a positive, lasting impact on the lives of the players and their families.

Centralia TOPSoccer

One of the many outcomes of the TOPSoccer Summit was the start of the Centralia TOPSoccer program. Keith Neeley has begun this new program this month, and the TOPSoccer Committee has been excited to provide assistance! For more information on your local program, contact your local Program Administrator – 2013-2014 TOPSoccer Programs.

Palaestra

Washington Youth Soccer is proud to announce that TOPSoccer Washington was the first-ever TOPSoccer program to be featured in the PALAESTRA, a national magazine that is dedicated to sports and recreation for the disabled community.
