Washington Youth Soccer’s Top-Two Competitive State Cups Set to Kick Off

Schedules were released in February for the play-in and preliminary rounds of the Virginia Mason Washington Youth Soccer Challenge Cup and Virginia Mason US Youth Soccer Washington State Championships — which means the most exciting three months in soccer are about to begin!

The two highest-level competitive tournaments in Washington Youth Soccer, the Challenge Cup and Washington State Championships give elite competitive teams from across the state the chance to compete against other highly skilled opponents for state and, in some age groups, regional and national championships.

With the support of Washington Youth Soccer’s newest sponsor, Virginia Mason, each event is set to kick off later this month in play-in round games played statewide. Teams will then advance to preliminary and quarterfinal games in April and May, with finals at Starfire Sports kicking off Apr. 27-28 for the U11 Challenge Cup teams, and continuing through mid-May.

Want to catch the state’s top youth squads in action, or cheer on the local youth soccer stars playing in your backyard? Check out the full schedules for each tournament at WashingtonYouthSoccer.org, and plan to be at Starfire to see the winners crowned this spring!
