For the six boys’ and six girls’ teams advancing from the Challenge Cup in the U13-U17 age groups, the destination is Boise, Idaho, where the 2013 US Youth Soccer Region IV Presidents Cup competition begins June 12. Winning teams in each age group will advance to the US Youth Soccer National Presidents Cup, July 11-14 in Auburndale, Florida. The stakes are even higher for the 19 teams aged U12-U18 (including nine boys teams and 10 girls teams) competing the following week in Honolulu, home to the US Youth Soccer Farwest Regional Championships. Winning teams in the U13-U18 age groups will have the chance to compete for the highest trophy in US Youth Soccer — the US Youth Soccer National Championship, held in Overland Park, Kans., July 23-28. Last year, 20 of Washington’s 31 teams advanced past the group stage at Regionals, with three reaching finals, and one — U14 River City Seely — bringing home a Region IV Presidents Cup title. Who will hoist the trophy — or trophies? — this year? Follow along throughout the month at the links above! Congratulations to May’s State Cup Winners and Finalists!
