Of The Year Awards Presented
at Annual Awards Banquet

They are the coaches who prepare their teams for success — not just on the field, but off of it as well.

They are the referees who closely study the Laws of the Game, and show grace and expertise in their interpretations during the heat of the action.

They are the buddies who provide invaluable mentorship to thousands of TOPSoccer players statewide.

They are the volunteers and administrators who toil tirelessly behind the scenes, coordinating schedules, arranging carpools, locating fields and executing numerous other often-thankless tasks.

In summary, they are the individuals who make it possible for Washington Youth Soccer to execute its mission of providing a safe, stable environment to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of the State of Washington's youth through the sport of soccer — and on May 18, the Washington Youth Soccer community said thanks.

Soccer administrators, coaches, volunteers and their families gathered last month at the Embassy Suites Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to honor and recognize the state’s hardest-working contributors at the 2013 Annual Awards Luncheon.

Throughout the spring, Washington Youth Soccer members were encouraged to nominate deserving individuals for Of The Year honors in nine categories. Below is a list of all the Of the Year Award winners.

  • Wayne Jensen – Administrator Of The Year
  • Jesus Cardenas – Boys Recreation Coach Of The Year

Congratulations to each of these outstanding winners and nominees and thank you for all that you do! You can view the full list of nominees of the Of the Year Awards page.
