Sports Authority Recreational Cup concludes at Starfire with age-group champions, Golazo Best XI

Eighteen recreational youth soccer teams from throughout the state of Washington were crowned champions of the 2012 Sports Authority Recreational Cup last month, capping an exciting month of competition in Washington Youth Soccer's largest recreational tournament.

The Sports Authority Recreational Cup is a fun-filled tournament for recreational teams in Washington Youth Soccer, the state's largest youth soccer organization. The annual event brings together boys and girls teams in the U11-U19 age groups for a month of exciting, fun, statewide competition.

Over 450 teams kicked off in the early rounds of the Sports Authority Recreational Cup in November, with 36 advancing to last month's finals at Starfire Sports in Tukwila. In addition to the players on the field, hundreds of parents, volunteers and soccer enthusiasts turned out to watch the action and support these outstanding youth recreational teams.

In addition, 11 players from each gender and age group were selected to the Golazo Best XI in recognition of their hard work and excellent play. Check out the full list of Golazo Best XI and congratulations to these outstanding teams!
