The final game of the 2010 FIFA World Cup is just days away! Bring your USA scarf, your passion for the game and your appetite for all things soccer to the Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center this Sunday, July 11, for an all-day soccer celebration featuring Washington Youth Soccer, Seattle Sounders FC, the Sound Wave band and more! Watch the World Cup final LIVE on a 140-square-foot screen, sign the giant scarf made by Ruffneck Scarves to support the USA's 2018/2022 World Cup bid, play games and pick up a FREE raffle ticket to win great prizes! Regional Report

Congratulations to the many outstanding teams who competed last month at Far West Regionals and US Youth Soccer President's Cup Regionals! Of the 18 Washington Youth Soccer teams at Far West Regionals, 14 advanced to quarterfinals, five to semis, and the U14 Boys' Crossfire Premier-McCormick (pictured above) brought home the title! Also, four of the 14 Washington Youth Soccer teams at President's Cup Regionals advanced from group play, with two making it all the way to the finals. Having recently completed the prestigious UEFA "A" License course offered by England's FA, Gary White shares the first of several themes and lessons shown and discussed during the course that pinpoint crucial trends and modern methods. By presenting insights from the highest level of the game, and addressing key aspects of player development, White will present information that will further assist the growth of all of our state's competitive and recreational coaches.

Getting To Know

Washington Youth Soccer is excited to welcome five new members to our Board of Directors! The five members were each elected to the state's Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting in May, and add a tremendous amount of diversity of education, professional background and life experience to the Board. Community Outreach

TOPSoccer, The Outreach Program for Soccer that enables children with physical and/or cognitive disabilities to play soccer, is looking for more coaches excited to work with these fun and eager young players! Washington Youth Soccer will be conducting a TOPSoccer Summit, Aug. 13-14 in Spokane, giving coaches the chance to learn about the program, work with TOPSoccer players and receive their US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer Certification. Cost of the program will be $50, and will include a three-hour session on Friday evening, followed by a fun day of field sessions, games and lunch on Saturday, wrapping up with your official US Youth Soccer TOPSoccer Certification!
