Washington Youth Soccer launches Project: Freestyle!

Master all sorts of tricks including the “Ono”, Around the World and The Neck Stall!

Washington Youth Soccer is proud to launch its newest player initiative, Project: Freestyle — a multimedia experience intended to help players wow their friends and boggle opponents by mastering some of soccer’s coolest tricks!

Each month, our freestyle gurus Qwa and Cole will upload a freestyle tutorial for a new trick — follow along each month to become a freestyle master, then upload your own freestyle videos on Washington Youth Soccer’s Freestyle YouTube channel for the chance to win exciting monthly prizes!

Freestyle isn’t just about having fun with your friends off the field — the tricks and skills you learn freestyling can improve your game on the field as well.

Project: Freestyle is a joint initiative of Washington Youth Soccer and SoccerWest, part of our ongoing effort to find innovative ways to serve all Washington youth and inspire them to improve their technical proficiency, creative mindset within the game, and overall fitness levels.

This worldwide form of soccer is an art of expressing yourself with a ball, while performing various dynamic tricks with all parts of the body. Similar in style to juggling, it has become a widespread activity across the world and is practiced by millions of people. The beauty of it is that all you need is a little space, and a ball!

Want to learn how to do it? Our monthly tutorials will help even pure beginners enjoy the dizzying heights of freestyle soccer. You’re only restricted by your own mind!

Learn more by visiting the Project: Freestyle page at WashingtonYouthSoccer.org.
