Washington Youth Soccer recently awarded college scholarships to 14 outstanding young student-athletes from across the state, who demonstrated excellence in athletics, academics and community service. National Championships

Crossfire Premier 95, coached by Ralph Black, became the first U14 boys' team from Washington to advance to the US Youth Soccer National Championships since 1999 with a win at June's Far West Regionals. At Nationals in Kansas, the boys went 2-1 in the group stage to advance to finals, where they were defeated by Eclipse Select of Illinois 2-1. The 2010 Heroes Fundraising Gala at Qwest Field on July 17 was a star-studded night of awards, honors and soccer-related activities! Hosted by Seattle Sounders FC's Arlo White, and featuring a Silent Auction, plus the presentation of our Of The Year winners and of the Full Circle Award to our state's own Michelle French, it was a memorable night for the entire Washington Youth Soccer community. ODP Update

Congratulations to all of the players selected to the ODP Regional and National pools this summer! Washington Youth Soccer had 21 boys in the U13-U17 age groups selected to attend the Region IV ODP Pool Camp, while 11 girls aged U13-U16 were held over. In addition, five Washington Youth Soccer players — three U13 boys and two U14 girls — were named to the US Soccer National Pool! COMPLETE LIST
